The East Neuk and Landward Energy Network (ENLEN) is a community based energy saving project based in Fife. It has been developed by the East Neuk and Landward Joint Community Councils Forum, and supported by Fife Council and the University of St Andrews.

Background

On April 7th 2009, the project was awarded grant funding of £212,903 from the Climate Challenge Fund, which will allow us provide local solutions to fuel poverty and climate change, including energy audits, support and advice as well as enabling increased uptake of the various schemes currently on offer for cavity and loft insulation, draught proofing, new double glazing, heating controls and replacement boiler systems.

The project is led by a full-time Energy Coordinator, based in the Fife Council Local Services office in Anstruther. She is supported by six part-time local Energy Champions who are the key to the one-to-one energy saving support we are aiming to offer householders. This team of energy champions are based around the East Neuk communities and each village has its own key contact. See the 'about us' page for more information.

We'll be holding a series of local information meetings across the East Neuk and Landward area to give everyone a chance to find out what is going on and to join in. Have a look at our events page for more information on this.
